The Curtains are finished!

AT LAST!! I'm back ....and the curtains are finished. Oh what hard work they have been but I'm really pleased with them and the girls love them
I was intensely irritated to find that when I printed the second pair of curtains, being careful to allow for the pattern drop and all that stuff..I CLEAN FORGOT to give Hope's butterhearts eyes and a mouth. Drat!
There was only one thing for it...and that was to overprint every single one with deeper purple. I attempted to screen print them on but it was impossible so I make a little paper stencil and sponged on the colour
The cupckaes needed attention too....
so I cut out another stencil....card for this one, and added details to all of them. I wanted to add stripes to the bottoms too but you know what? I couldn't be bothered!!!!!
These the cupcake flowers are going to become a cushion cover and I think I shall add machine embroidered details to it. If I get round to it I'll blog it!!
This painting I did years ago but it goes with the curtains so it will stay in the room. I love working in acrylics. I was going through my teddy bear phase at the time!
along with this guy!

I have cleaned my studio now and I'm raring to go with the next project and I am now officially finished from work. I was supposed to be on holiday this week cruising in the Aegean but as my sister in law is still unwell, we cancelled. She is coming here to recouperate if she ever makes it. Oh I do wish she would get better. It is such a long way to Norwich hospital from here and we so want to give her a good time to make up for all the lost years when she looked after her husband who died a few weeks ago.

Now I really must start making money from my crafts as I am no longer working. I had hoped to work till the end of August but I was told it was a month's contract so here I am....free to recover and move on

A really fresh look to these.... and so impressed at how tiny those litte dots are on the icing. They must have taken quite some time to cut out on the stencils!!!

The result looks great, well done you! With those kind of skills I don't think you're going to struggle to make some money :)
