My little grand daughter Hope has been telling me stories on Sunday mornings when she comes to stay over. I have been writing them down and decided it is time I started to illustrate them and make them into a book for her.
Here is the first in a story about "The Princess and the Pie". The princess has baked a cake and while it was cooling it flew away to Pieland! I'm really pleased to have found a local painting group where I can sit and paint with them on a Wednesday morning...and hopefully will eventually get this book done for Hope. I'm hoping to use different media for each story. This is plain old watercolour. Not finished yet

I was inspired by Helen to re-visit leaf bashing with my gradchildren so here they are wearing ear defenders bashing the life out of the most glorious coloured leaves......I used temporart spray glue (505) to hold the leaves in place
WOW it was noisy but no fingers got bashed in the process...although they came painfully close!
The best bit is peeling off the leaves to see the result. The fabric should be mordanted first but I couldn't find the fabric I prepared a while ago....bother! oh well....the fun was in the bashing.....
