I found this acrylic painting I did three yearrs ago. It was done on canvas and PERFECT for stitching into so had a go.
Sara came over in the afternoon and we ended up spending the evening in the studio painting together....
She was inspired by a wonderful long feather that was standing on the window sill, and had a blissful time painting it in the three colour ways. She wanted to add some gold spots to it so I suggested scattering a few beads on first to see if she liked the effect. I'm afraid I forgot to photograph it once she had finished it. Bother!
Meanwhile...I wasn't really sure what I was going to do but decided to paint a quick angel in a child's board book that I had altered a while ago. I decided to use the little book to experiment with small ideas instead of making them into scrapbooks as I had intended!
I used Sara's hair to inpire me! I will post the finished picture another time
Another 'find' yesterday. Here, I have machined onto half of it before I thought I should have taken a photo first..Ah well
I carried on using the sewing machine like a black pen and was pleased with the result. I painted this on one of those serious painting days when everyone was using blues and greens and browns and grey.......Boring.....BRING ON THE COLOUR!!!!! I NEED colour
Oh dear....I have just deleted the last two pictures.....Oh aren't computers infuriating!
