I was really excited to find a tiny heart shape on the piece of old sheeting I have rusted with an old chain a couple of weeks ago so I got to thinking why not make a BIG rusty heart too?
So......while Tony was at work (he HATES rust...spends his WHOLE life trying to get rid of it!) i carefully tried to straighten out my rusty chain and form it into a heart shape. Funny to think that just a few weeks ago it was a perfectly oiled, beautiful chain. I had to work SO hard to encourage it to rust!
Here it is laid on vinegar-and-water-soaked indigo dyed fabric.....
in the garden.......covered in plastic where it will lie for a few days while the magic works.....!
