Sky Lanterns...

Here I am on Boxing day night holding my sky lantern. We were told to write a wish on them so mine has 'Let Your Creativity Fly!' emblazoned across it......

I was amused to see it took 5 fellas to light it and send it into the darkness!

Up and away.... I LOVE seeing them float off into the night......

.....and here is the reality! Today, as we walked Rosie round by the barn we picked up three dead lanterns....one was in a deep ditch and two in a field....none of them were mine but it does bring it home to you the pollution they cause....BUT I'M NOT GOING TO STOP ENJOYING THEM when the occasion arises but I will pick up dead ones when I see them!

Resolution update....

I have decided that as I have signed up for the Sketchbook Challenge that I should make it work for me and combine one of my other resolutions....to illustrate Hope's stories. I plan to sketch a basic picture as often as I can and then do the proper paintings later.  I'm off to have a go at that now as her stories are highly prized so I can think of nothing I'd rather do!

Oh...I have yet another new recipe being planned for supper tomorrow too.....
