What's on your workdesk Wednesday? So much stuff!

First and foremost I am LOVING the True Stories course by Shimelle given to me by Sandie. The first thing we had to do was grab any old notebook or whatever and start writing. Here is my cheapo spiral notepad livened up with a stitched photo of a painting I did a few years ago. I LOVE colour!
and here is said notebook sitting on my desk waiting for some action from me. I have made the outer covers for a post bound book that I shall be making my scrapbook pages in and have prepared soe other stuff but this week is BUSY with the Art Exhibition at Cottenham this weekend and I am putting in 8 pics.
Having sold 80 cards last Saturday...BRILL day, thanks for your good wishes, I have had to replenish stocks as well as everything else...they are here waiting to be stamped and packed. (Done that!)
These are my 4 unframed pictures for the show. The rose paintings are gicle prints of watercolours I did on holiday in France a few years ago...I just LOVE the intense red of those roses, and the tulips were painted in acrylics. They sell well as cards too

Here is another bit of my workdesk as it is the day for my art group in Dry Drayton where I am painting Hopes' stories for a book I'm hoping to give her for Christmas. Here, the princess is watching her pie fly away to pieland! She was 5 when she told me this story. There are three more pictures to go....
An update on the little dish I bought at the charity shop a few days ago. I simply HAD to try and clean it up a bit and stitched it into some organza, placed it on a pad of cotton wool and then drenched it in suds and carefully rinsed it and patted it dry.
I shall show you the end result another day! There is some damage to the background net

Jail Bird
I bought this delightful quilled bird from Pat Loweth at the Grantchester sale. Originally they were made by inmates at Peterborough jail from shredded paper. I simple LOVE the idea of it but would never have the patience to make my own.

Now then......I must come and have a peek at all those workdesks out there THEN I must get ready for Belstead and take all my art to Cottenham for the show! I'm really hoping I don't have to bring it all back!

If you fancy joining in the fun on WOYWWW pop over to Julia's blog...the stamping ground and have a peek at a few workspaces

It's all looking wonderful Moira! I love the colourful notebook you made for TRUE STORIES. Glad you are enjoying the course.
The painting for Hope's story is beautiful. Your granddaughter's are SO lucky you have you as their Nanny! Hope will love her book and what an amazing thing for her to keep: a story she told, illustrated and made into a book by you. Just wonderful :)

Thanks so much for the sweet words you left on my blog. I'm still moving slowly, but trying to start visiting people who visited me. I was totally impressed by all the prints you have on your desk. They should sell well, too. And I was glad to see the fabric, because I don't often see that on Wednesday desks. Love the little applique. So glad I made it here. Had to hunt you down, but it was well worth it. Happy very belated WOYWW (# 15).
