Mademoiselle Riviere

Sur les ailes de rêves......On the wings of dreams!

Here is my piece for this week's 'Inspire Me Thursday' prompt of Mademoiselle Riviere, using the photograph in some way.
I decided to cut her out and then applied her to a printed, oiled brown paper background using gold, free machine stitching.
I gave her wings as I was too unwell with flu last week to do the 'Wings' prompt, and it seemed a good idea!

Hi Moira! I was admiring yours as well!!! Love the combination of papers and patterns. I'm a big fan of incorporating sheet music into anything. Thanks for the kind words on my blog.

Hi Moira! Thanks for your comment - yours is actually one of my favorites posted this week. I love your collage choices - they all work together in a way that both compliments the traditional nature of the painting and contrasts it against a raw, recycled composition. It's really beautiful!
