Tyvek Flowers

What a wonderful day I had on Friday when Harriet inivted me to her 50th Birthday party....a 'playday' with Gina Ferrari making tyvek flowers. It was GREAT fun and we all made a flower, a seed pod and tyvek beads.

This is the flower I made. I chose the colours as we were not able to use polyester as we had to use a heat gun on the flower and it would have melted the thread. I did have orange viscose thread so ended up with these colours. The best part was discovering that the lime green dress I planned to wear to a wedding the next day looked great with the flower and was much admired!
